The Days are Nouns: touch them by Naomi Shihab Nye.
An article on Daphne Marlatt in Capital Xtra. (not included in online version)
Deleted World, Tomas Transtromer, as translated by Robin Robertson. (in 2nd pass thru cover to cover)
Walking into the Night Sky by Lyn King of Toronto (2002, Brick Books). (reading two after one cover to cover)
Quills. I seem to have received mine a week or so after others but what the hay. Nice to see more from Sita Carboni and Bonnie Nish. Penn Kemp and Ronnie R Brown. I prefer the 3rd prize poem by Daniela Bouneva Elza (“we spend the day in garlic exile”) but so much depends on taste and subject. (Funny there’s bios of everyone of the regular issue part but none for the 3 contest winners.)
Old Winter by Anne le Dressay (like a good novel, don’t want to come to last page.)
Funny. I didn’t used to read any book immediately again after finishing.
MetaFizz by Roland Prevost. (second round)
A Book of Luminous Things (barely dipped into)
And two or three more things en route by mail. Brain is happily full.
