Festival Mania

Writers Fest, the main events for fall kick off today. Relit Awards with John Lavery’s classical guitar as music, among other things.

Mental note: make it to Eden Mills next September if it can be wrangled at all.

Someone else’s gorgeous pictures of Dodge.

See all the titles submitted for the Governor General’s Award. Those picked will be announced at Harbourfront’s International Festival of Authors this month.

And the Zen Festival in Montreal in March. (No speakers announced yet. Wonder if Red Pine comes back often?) Or the March Hare Festival in Newfoundland? Do those overlap?

Haiku Canada will be in Newfoundland in April or May. Never having gotten as far as Newfoundland, wonder if I’ll make it next year.

Good to hear the CFSW went so well.

Poetry is such an expensive interest. What’s for free? If you don’t count your time as cost, Tickertape2 the truism edition is going on for another couple weeks. Throw your phrase into the dot.
