On Friday above/ground celebrates 20 years Tickets are $8, doors open at 7 pm and the reading starts at 7:30 pm. who? what? Monty Reid from Moan Coach, Gary Barwin from Seedpod, Microfiche, Marthe Reed from After Swann, Wanda O’Connor from damascene road passaggio, selections and Marcus McCann from Labradoodle: An Essay on David McGimpsey.

The Puritan is running a contest and the prize is books! Poetry books.

I’m thinking I’ll extend or soften the deadline for the phafours press chapbook. If you have whimsical and zany poems you meant to send but missed the deadline, let’s say you, just between you and me, you have an extension to mid-September.

  1. Please come to coffee, tea and poetry at the second cup at 1750 Merivale road, Ottawa every Thursday beginning November 7th at 7:30 pm. Lots of free off street parking and beverages are discounted for this event.
